AFTER TEEN TURNOVER

HERE’S THE LIBRARY ON 29TH MARCH 2010 ….

The new Teen Zone is more defined than the old one.

The bookshelves have been moved around so teens now have a specific corner all to themsleves.

We also have a new sofa, a coffee table and some brightly coloured bean bags.

Moving the bookshelves around has also “opened up” the whole of the library.

The library looks bigger and brighter and you can see all the way through to the Teen Zone from the entrance.

In the foreground you can also see our new display unit which allows us to display more books face on.

We have lots more books in the Teen Zone now and we are also using any spare shelf space in here to display some of the books face on.

This makes our teen zone books look much more appealing – and makes it easier for teens to spot their favourite reads !

Here are some more of our teen books displayed face on.

We’ve also managed to squeeze a very useful leaflet rack into the corner of our new Teen Zone.

You can also see some of our teen information books in this picture – we’ve added some more study guides to our collection.

The children’s story books are no longer behind the computers which makes the I.T area feel a bit more “grown up”.

We’ve moved all the children’s books into the junior part of the library and we now have computer books and other books that teens might be interested in behind the computers.

You can just see the autobiographies and a display of books about sporting personalities in this picture.
